This four day wood turning basics summer camp covers the mini lathes located in the Fab Lab. Emphasis on lab and tool safety. Please adhere to the Fab Lab dress code.

We have a wide variety of wood turning projects for participants to choose. We have a single project for each day, of course if time allows, more projects can be completed. Each day's project will have an increasing level of difficulty with a fun, creative ending project on the last day.

Minimum age of 10 years and up with a minimum height requirement of 4 foot 6 inches. Due to the nature of the machinery, no horseplay will be tolerated. Safety waiver will be required before entry. No previous knowledge necessary, just the willingness to learn and positive attitude.

Fab Lab Dress Code- Please wear wear comfortable, fitted, casual clothing and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes. Gym or tennis shoes – NO SANDALS or FLIP FLOPS. Loose clothing and jewelry are not permitted for safety purposes and long hair must be secured.

The Fab Lab is a place where participants can build science, technology, engineering and math skills through hands on learning. Participating in Fab Lab activities allows you to explore and experiment with digital fabrication technology including 3D Printers, Laser Cutters, and Vinyl Cutters.
